24 June 2008: The Earl of Wessex will be welcomed at Farnham Castle on 8 July to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the founding of the world renowned intercultural training centre based at the historic 12th Century Castle in Farnham, Surrey. During the visit, His Royal Highness will tour the recently completed major conservation project at the Castle.

16 June 2008: Leading automation provider, Abit has today announced it has integrated a QuickTime meta-data exchange at Norwegian national broadcaster, NRK’s Olso facility. Abit which provides the playout automation for the three NRK channels, including its new channel NRK3 launched last autumn, has integrated with the Omneon API to achieve what Richard Thomas, software development director of Abit describes as “a more accurate and future-proofed playout.
1 April 2008: The Surrey Alcohol and Drug Advisory Service (SADAS), has this week begun its campaign to raise awareness of the problem of gambling addiction within the Surrey region by hosting a conference attended by 50 representatives from local authorities, addiction and health services as well as members of the criminal justice system.
